Mieux vaut le pauvre qui marche dans son intégrité, Que l'homme qui a des lèvres perverses et qui est un insensé.
الفقير السالك بكماله خير من ملتوي الشفتين وهو جاهل.
Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

Le manque de science n'est bon pour personne, Et celui qui précipite ses pas tombe dans le péché.
ايضا كون النفس بلا معرفة ليس حسنا والمستعجل برجليه يخطأ.
Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

La folie de l'homme pervertit sa voie, Et c'est contre l'Éternel que son coeur s'irrite.
حماقة الرجل تعوّج طريقه وعلى الرب يحنق قلبه.
The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.

La richesse procure un grand nombre d'amis, Mais le pauvre est séparé de son ami.
الغنى يكثر الاصحاب والفقير منفصل عن قريبه.
Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.

Le faux témoin ne restera pas impuni, Et celui qui dit des mensonges n'échappera pas.
شاهد الزور لا يتبرأ والمتكلم بالاكاذيب لا ينجو.
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.

Beaucoup de gens flattent l'homme généreux, Et tous sont les amis de celui qui fait des présents.
كثيرون يستعطفون وجه الشريف وكلّ صاحب لذي العطايا.
Many will entreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts.

Tous les frères du pauvre le haïssent; Combien plus ses amis s'éloignent-ils de lui! Il leur adresse des paroles suppliantes, mais ils disparaissent.
كل اخوة الفقير يبغضونه. فكم بالحري اصدقاؤه يبتعدون عنه. من يتبع اقوالا فهي له.
All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him.

Celui qui acquiert du sens aime son âme; Celui qui garde l'intelligence trouve le bonheur.
المقتني الحكمة يحب نفسه. الحافظ الفهم يجد خيرا.
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.

Le faux témoin ne restera pas impuni, Et celui qui dit des mensonges périra.
شاهد الزور لا يتبرأ والمتكلم بالاكاذيب يهلك.
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.

Il ne sied pas à un insensé de vivre dans les délices; Combien moins à un esclave de dominer sur des princes!
التنعم لا يليق بالجاهل كم بالاولى لا يليق بالعبد ان يتسلط على الرؤساء
Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes.

L'homme qui a de la sagesse est lent à la colère, Et il met sa gloire à oublier les offenses.
تعقل الانسان يبطئ غضبه وفخره الصفح عن معصية.
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

La colère du roi est comme le rugissement d'un lion, Et sa faveur est comme la rosée sur l'herbe.
كزمجرة الاسد حنق الملك وكالطل على العشب رضوانه.
The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.

Un fils insensé est une calamité pour son père, Et les querelles d'une femme sont une gouttière sans fin.
الابن الجاهل مصيبة على ابيه ومخاصمات الزوجة كالوكف المتتابع.
A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.

On peut hériter de ses pères une maison et des richesses, Mais une femme intelligente est un don de l'Éternel.
البيت والثروة ميراث من الآباء. اما الزوجة المتعقلة فمن عند الرب.
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

La paresse fait tomber dans l'assoupissement, Et l'âme nonchalante éprouve la faim.
الكسل يلقي في السبات والنفس المتراخية تجوع.
Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.

Celui qui garde ce qui est commandé garde son âme; Celui qui ne veille pas sur sa voie mourra.
حافظ الوصية حافظ نفسه والمتهاون بطرقه يموت.
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.

Celui qui a pitié du pauvre prête à l'Éternel, Qui lui rendra selon son oeuvre.
من يرحم الفقير يقرض الرب وعن معروفه يجازيه.
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Châtie ton fils, car il y a encore de l'espérance; Mais ne désire point le faire mourir.
ادّب ابنك لان فيه رجاء ولكن على اماتته لا تحمل نفسك.
Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Celui que la colère emporte doit en subir la peine; Car si tu le libères, tu devras y revenir.
الشديد الغضب يحمل عقوبة لانك اذا نجيته فبعد تعيد.
A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.

Écoute les conseils, et reçois l'instruction, Afin que tu sois sage dans la suite de ta vie.
اسمع المشورة واقبل التأديب لكي تكون حكيما في آخرتك.
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Il y a dans le coeur de l'homme beaucoup de projets, Mais c'est le dessein de l'Éternel qui s'accomplit.
في قلب الانسان افكار كثيرة لكن مشورة الرب هي تثبت.
There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Ce qui fait le charme d'un homme, c'est sa bonté; Et mieux vaut un pauvre qu'un menteur.
زينة الانسان معروفه والفقير خير من الكذوب
The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.

La crainte de l'Éternel mène à la vie, Et l'on passe la nuit rassasié, sans être visité par le malheur.
مخافة الرب للحياة. يبيت شبعان لا يتعهده شر.
The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

Le paresseux plonge sa main dans le plat, Et il ne la ramène pas à sa bouche.
الكسلان يخفي يده في الصحفة وايضا الى فمه لا يردها.
A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.

Frappe le moqueur, et le sot deviendra sage; Reprends l'homme intelligent, et il comprendra la science.
اضرب المستهزئ فيتذكى الاحمق ووبخ فهيما فيفهم معرفة.
Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.

Celui qui ruine son père et qui met en fuite sa mère Est un fils qui fait honte et qui fait rougir.
المخرب اباه والطارد امه هو ابن مخز ومخجل.
He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach.

Cesse, mon fils, d'écouter l'instruction, Si c'est pour t'éloigner des paroles de la science.
كف يا ابني عن استماع التعليم للضلالة عن كلام المعرفة.
Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.

Un témoin pervers se moque de la justice, Et la bouche des méchants dévore l'iniquité.
الشاهد اللئيم يستهزئ بالحق وفم الاشرار يبلع الاثم.
An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity.

Les châtiments sont prêts pour les moqueurs, Et les coups pour le dos des insensés.
القصاص معد للمستهزئين والضرب لظهر الجهال
Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.
