О, если бы Ты расторг небеса и сошел! горы растаяли бы от лица Твоего,
(63:19b) Oh! si tu déchirais les cieux, et si tu descendais, Les montagnes s'ébranleraient devant toi,
ليتك تشق السموات وتنزل من حضرتك تتزلزل الجبال.
Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence.

как от плавящего огня, как от кипятящего воду, чтобы имя Твое сделать известным врагам Твоим; от лица Твоего содрогнулись бы народы.
(64:1) Comme s'allume un feu de bois sec, Comme s'évapore l'eau qui bouillonne; Tes ennemis connaîtraient ton nom, Et les nations trembleraient devant toi.
كما تشعل النار الهشيم وتجعل النار المياه تغلي لتعرف اعداءك اسمك لترتعد الامم من حضرتك.
As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!

Когда Ты совершал страшные дела, нами неожиданные, и нисходил, – горы таяли от лица Твоего.
(64:2) Lorsque tu fis des prodiges que nous n'attendions pas, Tu descendis, et les montagnes s'ébranlèrent devant toi.
حين صنعت مخاوف لم ننتظرها نزلت تزلزلت الجبال من حضرتك.
When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

Ибо от века не слыхали, не внимали ухом, и никакой глаз не видал другого бога, кроме Тебя, который столько сделал бы для надеющихся на него.
(64:3) Jamais on n'a appris ni entendu dire, Et jamais l'oeil n'a vu qu'un autre dieu que toi Fît de telles choses pour ceux qui se confient en lui.
ومنذ الازل لم يسمعوا ولم يصغوا لم تر عين الها غيرك يصنع لمن ينتظره.
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

Ты милостиво встречал радующегося и делающего правду, поминающего Тебя на путях Твоих. Но вот, Ты прогневался, потому что мы издавна грешили; и как же мы будем спасены?
(64:4) Tu vas au-devant de celui qui pratique avec joie la justice, De ceux qui marchent dans tes voies et se souviennent de toi. Mais tu as été irrité, parce que nous avons péché; Et nous en souffrons longtemps jusqu'à ce que nous soyons sauvés.
تلاقي الفرح الصانع البر. الذين يذكرونك في طرقك. ها انت سخطت اذ اخطأنا. هي الى الابد فنخلص.
Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

Все мы сделались – как нечистый, и вся праведность наша – как запачканная одежда; и все мы поблекли, как лист, и беззакония наши, как ветер, уносят нас.
(64:5) Nous sommes tous comme des impurs, Et toute notre justice est comme un vêtement souillé; Nous sommes tous flétris comme une feuille, Et nos crimes nous emportent comme le vent.
وقد صرنا كلنا كنجس وكثوب عدة كل اعمال برنا وقد ذبلنا كورقة وآثامنا كريح تحملنا
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

И нет призывающего имя Твое, который положил бы крепко держаться за Тебя; поэтому Ты сокрыл от нас лице Твое и оставил нас погибать от беззаконий наших.
(64:6) Il n'y a personne qui invoque ton nom, Qui se réveille pour s'attacher à toi: Aussi nous as-tu caché ta face, Et nous laisses-tu périr par l'effet de nos crimes.
وليس من يدعو باسمك او ينتبه ليتمسك بك لانك حجبت وجهك عنا واذبتنا بسبب آثامنا
And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

Но ныне, Господи, Ты – Отец наш; мы – глина, а Ты – образователь наш, и все мы – дело руки Твоей.
(64:7) Cependant, ô Éternel, tu es notre père; Nous sommes l'argile, et c'est toi qui nous as formés, Nous sommes tous l'ouvrage de tes mains.
والآن يا رب انت ابونا. نحن الطين وانت جابلنا وكلنا عمل يديك
But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Не гневайся, Господи, без меры, и не вечно помни беззаконие. Воззри же: мы все народ Твой.
(64:8) Ne t'irrite pas à l'extrême, ô Éternel, Et ne te souviens pas à toujours du crime; Regarde donc, nous sommes tous ton peuple.
لا تسخط كل السخط يا رب ولا تذكر الاثم الى الابد. ها انظر. شعبك كلنا.
Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

Города святыни Твоей сделались пустынею; пустынею стал Сион; Иерусалим опустошен.
(64:9) Tes villes saintes sont un désert; Sion est un désert, Jérusalem une solitude.
مدن قدسك صارت برية. صهيون صارت برية واورشليم موحشة.
Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.

Дом освящения нашего и славы нашей, где отцы наши прославляли Тебя, сожжен огнем, и все драгоценности наши разграблены.
(64:10) Notre maison sainte et glorieuse, Où nos pères célébraient tes louanges, Est devenue la proie des flammes; Tout ce que nous avions de précieux a été dévasté.
بيت قدسنا وجمالنا حيث سبحك آباؤنا قد صار حريق نار وكل مشتهياتنا صارت خرابا.
Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.

После этого будешь ли еще удерживаться, Господи, будешь ли молчать и карать нас без меры?
(64:11) Après cela, ô Éternel, te contiendras-tu? Est-ce que tu te tairas, et nous affligeras à l'excès?
ألأجل هذه تتجلد يا رب. أتسكت وتذلنا كل الذل
Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
