Lorsque Rachel vit qu'elle ne donnait point d'enfants à Jacob, elle porta envie à sa soeur, et elle dit à Jacob: Donne-moi des enfants, ou je meurs!
И увидела Рахиль, что она не рождает детей Иакову, и позавидовалаРахиль сестре своей, и сказала Иакову: дай мне детей, а если не так, я умираю.
And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

La colère de Jacob s'enflamma contre Rachel, et il dit: Suis-je à la place de Dieu, qui t'empêche d'être féconde?
Иаков разгневался на Рахиль и сказал: разве я Бог, Который не дал тебе плода чрева?
And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?

Elle dit: Voici ma servante Bilha; va vers elle; qu'elle enfante sur mes genoux, et que par elle j'aie aussi des fils.
Она сказала: вот служанка моя Валла; войди к ней; пусть она родит наколени мои, чтобы и я имела детей от нее.
And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.

Et elle lui donna pour femme Bilha, sa servante; et Jacob alla vers elle.
И дала она Валлу, служанку свою, в жену ему; и вошел к ней Иаков.
And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.

Bilha devint enceinte, et enfanta un fils à Jacob.
Валла зачала и родила Иакову сына.
And Bilhah conceived, and bare Jacob a son.

Rachel dit: Dieu m'a rendu justice, il a entendu ma voix, et il m'a donné un fils. C'est pourquoi elle l'appela du nom de Dan.
И сказала Рахиль: судил мне Бог, и услышал голосмой, и дал мне сына. Посему нарекла ему имя: Дан.
And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

Bilha, servante de Rachel, devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un second fils à Jacob.
И еще зачала и родила Валла, служанка Рахилина, другого сына Иакову.
And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and bare Jacob a second son.

Rachel dit: J'ai lutté divinement contre ma soeur, et j'ai vaincu. Et elle l'appela du nom de Nephthali.
И сказала Рахиль: борьбою сильною боролась я с сестрою моею и превозмогла. И нарекла ему имя: Неффалим.
And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.

Léa voyant qu'elle avait cessé d'enfanter, prit Zilpa, sa servante, et la donna pour femme à Jacob.
Лия увидела, что перестала рождать, и взяласлужанку свою Зелфу, и дала ее Иакову в жену.
When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife.

Zilpa, servante de Léa, enfanta un fils à Jacob.
И Зелфа, служанка Лиина, родила Иакову сына.
And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a son.

Léa dit: Quel bonheur! Et elle l'appela du nom de Gad.
И сказала Лия: прибавилось. И нарекла ему имя:Гад.
And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

Zilpa, servante de Léa, enfanta un second fils à Jacob.
И родила Зелфа, служанка Лии, другого сына Иакову.
And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a second son.

Léa dit: Que je suis heureuse! car les filles me diront heureuse. Et elle l'appela du nom d'Aser.
И сказала Лия: к благу моему, ибо блаженною будут называть меня женщины. И нарекла ему имя: Асир.
And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.

Ruben sortit au temps de la moisson des blés, et trouva des mandragores dans les champs. Il les apporta à Léa, sa mère. Alors Rachel dit à Léa: Donne moi, je te prie, des mandragores de ton fils.
Рувим пошел во время жатвы пшеницы, и нашел мандрагоровые яблоки в поле, и принес их Лии, матери своей. И Рахиль сказала Лии: дай мне мандрагоров сына твоего.
And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes.

Elle lui répondit: Est-ce peu que tu aies pris mon mari, pour que tu prennes aussi les mandragores de mon fils? Et Rachel dit: Eh bien! il couchera avec toi cette nuit pour les mandragores de ton fils.
Но она сказала ей: неужели мало тебе завладеть мужем моим, что ты домогаешься и мандрагоров сына моего? Рахиль сказала: так пусть он ляжет с тобою эту ночь, за мандрагоры сына твоего.
And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son's mandrakes.

Le soir, comme Jacob revenait des champs, Léa sortit à sa rencontre, et dit: C'est vers moi que tu viendras, car je t'ai acheté pour les mandragores de mon fils. Et il coucha avec elle cette nuit.
Иаков пришел с поля вечером, и Лия вышла ему навстречу и сказала: войди ко мне; ибо я купила тебя за мандрагоры сына моего. И лег он с нею в ту ночь.
And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

Dieu exauça Léa, qui devint enceinte, et enfanta un cinquième fils à Jacob.
И услышал Бог Лию, и она зачала и родила Иакову пятого сына.
And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare Jacob the fifth son.

Léa dit: Dieu m'a donné mon salaire parce que j'ai donné ma servante à mon mari. Et elle l'appela du nom d'Issacar.
И сказала Лия: Бог дал возмездие мне за то, что я отдала служанку мою мужу моему. И нарекла ему имя: Иссахар.
And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

Léa devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un sixième fils à Jacob.
И еще зачала Лия и родила Иакову шестого сына.
And Leah conceived again, and bare Jacob the sixth son.

Léa dit: Dieu m'a fait un beau don; cette fois, mon mari habitera avec moi, car je lui ai enfanté six fils. Et elle l'appela du nom de Zabulon.
И сказала Лия: Бог дал мне прекрасный дар; теперь будет жить у меня муж мой, ибо я родила ему шесть сынов. И нарекла ему имя: Завулон.
And Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.

Ensuite, elle enfanta une fille, qu'elle appela du nom de Dina.
Потом родила дочь и нарекла ей имя: Дина.
And afterwards she bare a daughter, and called her name Dinah.

Dieu se souvint de Rachel, il l'exauça, et il la rendit féconde.
И вспомнил Бог о Рахили, и услышал ее Бог, и отверз утробу ее.
And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

Elle devint enceinte, et enfanta un fils, et elle dit: Dieu a enlevé mon opprobre.
Она зачала и родила сына, и сказала: снял Бог позор мой.
And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:

Et elle lui donna le nom de Joseph, en disant: Que l'Éternel m'ajoute un autre fils!
И нарекла ему имя: Иосиф, сказав: Господь дастмне и другого сына.
And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.

Lorsque Rachel eut enfanté Joseph, Jacob dit à Laban: Laisse-moi partir, pour que je m'en aille chez moi, dans mon pays.
После того, как Рахиль родила Иосифа, Иаков сказал Лавану: отпусти меня, и пойду я в свое место, и в свою землю;
And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.

Donne-moi mes femmes et mes enfants, pour lesquels je t'ai servi, et je m'en irai; car tu sais quel service j'ai fait pour toi.
отдай жен моих и детей моих, за которых я служил тебе, и я пойду, ибо ты знаешь службу мою, какую я служил тебе.
Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.

Laban lui dit: Puissé-je trouver grâce à tes yeux! Je vois bien que l'Éternel m'a béni à cause de toi;
И сказал ему Лаван: о, если бы я нашел благоволение пред очами твоими! я примечаю, что за тебя Господь благословил меня.
And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.

fixe-moi ton salaire, et je te le donnerai.
И сказал: назначь себе награду от меня, и я дам.
And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.

Jacob lui dit: Tu sais comment je t'ai servi, et ce qu'est devenu ton troupeau avec moi;
И сказал ему Иаков: ты знаешь, как я служил тебе, и каков сталскот твой при мне;
And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.

car le peu que tu avais avant moi s'est beaucoup accru, et l'Éternel t'a béni sur mes pas. Maintenant, quand travaillerai-je aussi pour ma maison?
ибо мало было у тебя до меня, а стало много; Господь благословилтебя с приходом моим; когда же я буду работать для своего дома?
For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

Laban dit: Que te donnerai-je? Et Jacob répondit: Tu ne me donneras rien. Si tu consens à ce que je vais te dire, je ferai paître encore ton troupeau, et je le garderai.
И сказал Лаван: что дать тебе? Иаков сказал: не давай мне ничего. Если только сделаешь мне, что я скажу, то я опять буду пасти и стеречь овец твоих.
And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock.

Je parcourrai aujourd'hui tout ton troupeau; mets à part parmi les brebis tout agneau tacheté et marqueté et tout agneau noir, et parmi les chèvres tout ce qui est marqueté et tacheté. Ce sera mon salaire.
Я пройду сегодня по всему стаду овец твоих; отдели из него всякий скот скрапинами и с пятнами, всякую скотину черную из овец, также с пятнами и с крапинами из коз. Такой скот будет наградою мне.
I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.

Ma droiture répondra pour moi demain, quand tu viendras voir mon salaire; tout ce qui ne sera pas tacheté et marqueté parmi les chèvres, et noir parmi les agneaux, ce sera de ma part un vol.
И будет говорить за меня пред тобою справедливость моя в следующее время, когда придешь посмотреть награду мою. Всякая из коз не с крапинами и не с пятнами, и из овец не черная, краденое это у меня.
So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.

Laban dit: Eh bien! qu'il en soit selon ta parole.
Лаван сказал: хорошо, пусть будет по твоему слову.
And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word.

Ce même jour, il mit à part les boucs rayés et marquetés, toutes les chèvres tachetées et marquetées, toutes celles où il y avait du blanc, et tout ce qui était noir parmi les brebis. Il les remit entre les mains de ses fils.
И отделил в тот день козлов пестрых и с пятнами, и всех коз скрапинами и с пятнами, всех, на которых было несколько белого, и всех черных овец, и отдал на руки сыновьям своим;
And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstreaked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.

Puis il mit l'espace de trois journées de chemin entre lui et Jacob; et Jacob fit paître le reste du troupeau de Laban.
и назначил расстояние между собою и между Иаковом на три дня пути. Иаков же пас остальной мелкий скот Лаванов.
And he set three days' journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.

Jacob prit des branches vertes de peuplier, d'amandier et de platane; il y pela des bandes blanches, mettant à nu le blanc qui était sur les branches.
И взял Иаков свежих прутьев тополевых, миндальных и яворовых,и вырезал на них белые полосы, сняв кору до белизны, которая на прутьях,
And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white streaks in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.

Puis il plaça les branches, qu'il avait pelées, dans les auges, dans les abreuvoirs, sous les yeux des brebis qui venaient boire, pour qu'elles entrassent en chaleur en venant boire.
и положил прутья с нарезкою перед скотом в водопойных корытах, куда скот приходил пить, и где, приходя пить, зачинал пред прутьями.
And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.

Les brebis entraient en chaleur près des branches, et elles faisaient des petits rayés, tachetés et marquetés.
И зачинал скот пред прутьями, и рождался скот пестрый, и с крапинами, и с пятнами.
And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstreaked, speckled, and spotted.

Jacob séparait les agneaux, et il mettait ensemble ce qui était rayé et tout ce qui était noir dans le troupeau de Laban. Il se fit ainsi des troupeaux à part, qu'il ne réunit point au troupeau de Laban.
И отделял Иаков ягнят и ставил скот лицем кпестрому и всему черному скоту Лаванову; и держал свои стада особо и не ставил их вместе со скотом Лавана.
And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstreaked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.

Toutes les fois que les brebis vigoureuses entraient en chaleur, Jacob plaçait les branches dans les auges, sous les yeux des brebis, pour qu'elles entrassent en chaleur près des branches.
Каждый раз, когда зачинал скот крепкий, Иаков клал прутья в корытах пред глазами скота, чтобы он зачинал пред прутьями.
And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.

Quand les brebis étaient chétives, il ne les plaçait point; de sorte que les chétives étaient pour Laban, et les vigoureuses pour Jacob.
А когда зачинал скот слабый, тогда он не клал. И доставался слабый скот Лавану, а крепкий Иакову.
But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

Cet homme devint de plus en plus riche; il eut du menu bétail en abondance, des servantes et des serviteurs, des chameaux et des ânes.
И сделался этот человек весьма, весьма богатым, и было у него множество мелкого скота, и рабынь, и рабов, и верблюдов, и ослов.
And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.
