В то время Иуда отошел от братьев своих и поселился близ одногоОдолламитянина, которому имя: Хира.
En ce temps-là, Juda s'éloigna de ses frères, et se retira vers un homme d'Adullam, nommé Hira.
And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

И увидел там Иуда дочь одного Хананеянина, которому имя: Шуа; ивзял ее и вошел к ней.
Là, Juda vit la fille d'un Cananéen, nommé Schua; il la prit pour femme, et alla vers elle.
And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her.

Она зачала и родила сына; и он нарек ему имя: Ир.
Elle devint enceinte, et enfanta un fils, qu'elle appela Er.
And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er.

И зачала опять, и родила сына, и нарекла ему имя: Онан.
Elle devint encore enceinte, et enfanta un fils, qu'elle appela Onan.
And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan.

И еще родила сына и нарекла ему имя: Шела. Иуда был в Хезиве, когдаона родила его.
Elle enfanta de nouveau un fils, qu'elle appela Schéla; Juda était à Czib quand elle l'enfanta.
And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.

И взял Иуда жену Иру, первенцу своему; имя ей Фамарь.
Juda prit pour Er, son premier-né, une femme nommée Tamar.
And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.

Ир, первенец Иудин, был неугоден пред очами Господа, и умертвилего Господь.
Er, premier-né de Juda, était méchant aux yeux de l'Éternel; et l'Éternel le fit mourir.
And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

И сказал Иуда Онану: войди к жене брата твоего, женись на ней, как деверь, и восстанови семя брату твоему.
Alors Juda dit à Onan: Va vers la femme de ton frère, prends-la, comme beau-frère, et suscite une postérité à ton frère.
And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.

Онан знал, что семя будет не ему, и потому, когда входил к жене брата своего, изливал на землю, чтобы не дать семени брату своему.
Onan, sachant que cette postérité ne serait pas à lui, se souillait à terre lorsqu'il allait vers la femme de son frère, afin de ne pas donner de postérité à son frère.
And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

Зло было пред очами Господа то, что он делал; и Он умертвил и его.
Ce qu'il faisait déplut à l'Éternel, qui le fit aussi mourir.
And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

И сказал Иуда Фамари, невестке своей: живи вдовою в доме отца твоего, пока подрастет Шела, сын мой. Ибо он сказал: не умер бы и он подобно братьям его. Фамарь пошла и стала житьв доме отца своего.
Alors Juda dit à Tamar, sa belle-fille: Demeure veuve dans la maison de ton père, jusqu'à ce que Schéla, mon fils, soit grand. Il parlait ainsi dans la crainte que Schéla ne mourût comme ses frères. Tamar s'en alla, et elle habita dans la maison de son père.
Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.

Прошло много времени, и умерла дочь Шуи, жена Иудина. Иуда, утешившись, пошел в Фамну к стригущим скот его,сам и Хира, друг его, Одолламитянин.
Les jours s'écoulèrent, et la fille de Schua, femme de Juda, mourut. Lorsque Juda fut consolé, il monta à Thimna, vers ceux qui tondaient ses brebis, lui et son ami Hira, l'Adullamite.
And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah's wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.

И уведомили Фамарь, говоря: вот, свекор твой идет в Фамну стричь скот свой.
On en informa Tamar, et on lui dit: Voici ton beau-père qui monte à Thimna, pour tondre ses brebis.
And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

И сняла она с себя одежду вдовства своего, покрыла себя покрывалом и, закрывшись, села у ворот Енаима, что на дороге в Фамну. Ибо видела, что Шела вырос, и она не дана ему в жену.
Alors elle ôta ses habits de veuve, elle se couvrit d'un voile et s'enveloppa, et elle s'assit à l'entrée d'Énaïm, sur le chemin de Thimna; car elle voyait que Schéla était devenu grand, et qu'elle ne lui était point donnée pour femme.
And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.

И увидел ее Иуда и почел ее за блудницу, потому что она закрыла лице свое.
Juda la vit, et la prit pour une prostituée, parce qu'elle avait couvert son visage.
When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

Он поворотил к ней и сказал: войду я к тебе. Ибоне знал, что это невестка его. Она сказала: что ты дашь мне, если войдешь ко мне?
Il l'aborda sur le chemin, et dit: Laisse-moi aller vers toi. Car il ne connut pas que c'était sa belle-fille. Elle dit: Que me donneras-tu pour venir vers moi?
And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?

Он сказал: я пришлю тебе козленка из стада. Она сказала: дашь ли ты мне залог, пока пришлешь?
Il répondit: Je t'enverrai un chevreau de mon troupeau. Elle dit: Me donneras-tu un gage, jusqu'à ce que tu l'envoies?
And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?

Он сказал: какой дать тебе залог? Она сказала: печать твою, и перевязь твою, и трость твою, которая в руке твоей. И дал он ей и вошел к ней; и она зачала от него.
Il répondit: Quel gage te donnerai-je? Elle dit: Ton cachet, ton cordon, et le bâton que tu as à la main. Il les lui donna. Puis il alla vers elle; et elle devint enceinte de lui.
And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.

И, встав, пошла, сняла с себя покрывало свое и оделась в одежду вдовства своего.
Elle se leva, et s'en alla; elle ôta son voile, et remit ses habits de veuve.
And she arose, and went away, and laid by her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

Иуда же послал козленка чрез друга своего Одолламитянина, чтобывзять залог из руки женщины, но он не нашел ее.
Juda envoya le chevreau par son ami l'Adullamite, pour retirer le gage des mains de la femme. Mais il ne la trouva point.
And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not.

И спросил жителей того места, говоря: где блудница, которая была в Енаиме при дороге? Но они сказали: здесь не было блудницы.
Il interrogea les gens du lieu, en disant: Où est cette prostituée qui se tenait à Énaïm, sur le chemin? Ils répondirent: Il n'y a point eu ici de prostituée.
Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.

И возвратился он к Иуде и сказал: я не нашел ее; да и жители места того сказали: здесь не было блудницы.
Il retourna auprès de Juda, et dit: Je ne l'ai pas trouvée, et même les gens du lieu ont dit: Il n'y a point eu ici de prostituée.
And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.

Иуда сказал: пусть она возьмет себе, чтобы только нестали над нами смеяться; вот, я посылал этого козленка, но ты не нашел ее.
Juda dit: Qu'elle garde ce qu'elle a! Ne nous exposons pas au mépris. Voici, j'ai envoyé ce chevreau, et tu ne l'as pas trouvée.
And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.

Прошло около трех месяцев, и сказали Иуде, говоря: Фамарь, невестка твоя, впала в блуд, и вот, она беременна от блуда. Иуда сказал: выведите ее, и пусть она будет сожжена.
Environ trois mois après, on vint dire à Juda: Tamar, ta belle-fille, s'est prostituée, et même la voilà enceinte à la suite de sa prostitution. Et Juda dit: Faites-la sortir, et qu'elle soit brûlée.
And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

Но когда повели ее, она послала сказать свекру своему: я беременнаот того, чьи эти вещи. И сказала: узнавай, чья эта печать и перевязь и трость.
Comme on l'amenait dehors, elle fit dire à son beau-père: C'est de l'homme à qui ces choses appartiennent que je suis enceinte; reconnais, je te prie, à qui sont ce cachet, ces cordons et ce bâton.
When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.

Иуда узнал и сказал: она правее меня, потому что я не дал ее Шеле, сыну моему. И не познавал ее более.
Juda les reconnut, et dit: Elle est moins coupable que moi, puisque je ne l'ai pas donnée à Schéla, mon fils. Et il ne la connut plus.
And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

Во время родов ее оказалось, что близнецы в утробе ее.
Quand elle fut au moment d'accoucher, voici, il y avait deux jumeaux dans son ventre.
And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

И во время родов ее показалась рука; и взяла повивальная бабка и навязала ему на руку красную нить, сказав: этот вышел первый.
Et pendant l'accouchement il y en eut un qui présenta la main; la sage-femme la prit, et y attacha un fil cramoisi, en disant: Celui-ci sort le premier.
And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

Но он возвратил руку свою; и вот, вышел брат его. И она сказала: какты расторг себе преграду? И наречено ему имя: Фарес.
Mais il retira la main, et son frère sortit. Alors la sage-femme dit: Quelle brèche tu as faite! Et elle lui donna le nom de Pérets.
And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

Потом вышел брат его с красной нитью на руке. Инаречено ему имя: Зара.
Ensuite sortit son frère, qui avait à la main le fil cramoisi; et on lui donna le nom de Zérach.
And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.
