The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

Fils de Gomer: Aschkenaz, Diphat et Togarma. -
وبنو جومر أشكناز وريفاث وتوجرمة.
And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

Fils de Javan: Élischa, Tarsisa, Kittim et Rodanim.
وبنو ياوان اليشة وترشيشة وكتيم ودودانيم.
And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

Fils de Cham: Cusch, Mitsraïm, Puth et Canaan. -
بنو حام كوش ومصرايم وفوط وكنعان.
The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

Fils de Cusch: Saba, Havila, Sabta, Raema et Sabteca. -Fils de Raema: Séba et Dedan.
وبنو كوش سبا وحويلة وسبتا ورعما وسبتكا. وبنو رعما شبا وددان.
And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

Cusch engendra Nimrod; c'est lui qui commença à être puissant sur la terre. -
وكوش ولد نمرود الذي ابتدأ يكون جبارا في الارض.
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

Mitsraïm engendra les Ludim, les Ananim, les Lehabim, les Naphtuhim,
ومصرايم ولد لوديم وعناميم ولهابيم ونفتوحيم
And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

les Patrusim, les Casluhim, d'où sont sortis les Philistins, et les Caphtorim. -
وفتروسيم وكسلوحيم الذين خرج منهم فلشتيم وكفتوريم.
And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

Canaan engendra Sidon, son premier-né, et Heth,
وكنعان ولد صيدون بكره وحثّا
And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
-
14
et les Jébusiens, les Amoréens, les Guirgasiens,
واليبوسي والاموري والجرجاشي
The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
-
15
les Héviens, les Arkiens, les Siniens,
والحوّي والعرقيّ والسيني
And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
-
16
les Arvadiens, les Tsemariens, les Hamathiens.
والاروادي والصماريّ والحماثيّ
And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

Fils de Sem: Élam, Assur, Arpacschad, Lud et Aram; Uts, Hul, Guéter et Méschec. -
بنو سام عيلام واشور وارفكشاد ولود وارام وعوص وحول وجاثر وماشك.
The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

Arpacschad engendra Schélach; et Schélach engendra Héber.
وارفكشاد ولد شالح وشالح ولد عابر.
And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

Il naquit à Héber deux fils: le nom de l'un était Péleg, parce que de son temps la terre fut partagée, et le nom de son frère était Jokthan.
ولعابر ولد ابنان اسم الواحد فالج لان في ايامه قسمت الارض. واسم اخيه يقطان.
And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

Jokthan engendra Almodad, Schéleph, Hatsarmaveth, Jérach,
ويقطان ولد الموداد وشالف وحضرموت ويارح
And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,
وهدورام وأوزال ودقلة
Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,
-
22
Ébal, Abimaël, Séba, Ophir, Havila et Jobab.
وعيبال وأبيمايل وشبا
And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
-
23
Tous ceux-là furent fils de Jokthan.
وأوفير وحويلة ويوباب. كل هؤلاء بنو يقطان
And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

Sem, Arpacschad, Schélach,
سام ارفكشاد شالح
Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
-

Héber, Péleg, Rehu,
عابر فالج رعو
Eber, Peleg, Reu,
-

Serug, Nachor, Térach,
سروج ناحور تارح
Serug, Nahor, Terah,
-

Abram, qui est Abraham.
ابرام وهو ابراهيم.
Abram; the same is Abraham.

Fils d'Abraham: Isaac et Ismaël.
ابنا ابراهيم اسحق واسماعيل.
The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

Voici leur postérité. Nebajoth, premier-né d'Ismaël, Kédar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
هذه مواليدهم. بكر اسماعيل نبايوت وقيدار وأدبئيل ومبسام
These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

Mischma, Duma, Massa, Hadad, Téma,
ومشماع ودومة ومسّا وحدد وتيما
Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

Jethur, Naphisch et Kedma. Ce sont là les fils d'Ismaël.
ويطور ونافيش وقدمة. هؤلاء هم بنو اسماعيل
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

Fils de Ketura, concubine d'Abraham. Elle enfanta Zimran, Jokschan, Medan, Madian, Jischbak et Schuach. -Fils de Jokschan: Séba et Dedan. -
واما بنو قطورة سرية ابراهيم فانها ولدت زمران ويقشان ومدان ومديان ويشباق وشوحا. وابنا يقشان شبا وددان.
Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

Fils de Madian: Épha, Épher, Hénoc, Abida et Eldaa. -Ce sont là tous les fils de Ketura.
وبنو مديان عيفة وعفر وحنوك وابيداع وألدعة. فكل هؤلاء بنو قطورة.
And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

Abraham engendra Isaac. Fils d'Isaac: Ésaü et Israël.
وولد ابراهيم اسحق وابنا اسحق عيسو واسرائيل
And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.
-

Fils d'Ésaü: Éliphaz, Reuel, Jeusch, Jaelam et Koré. -
بنو عيسو اليفاز ورعوئيل ويعوش ويعلام وقورح.
The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

Fils d'Éliphaz: Théman, Omar, Tsephi, Gaetham, Kenaz, Thimna et Amalek. -
بنو اليفاز تيمان واومار وصفي وجعثام وقناز وتمناع وعماليق.
The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

Fils de Reuel: Nahath, Zérach, Schamma et Mizza.
بنو رعوئيل نحث وزارح وشمّة ومزّة.
The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

Fils de Séir: Lothan, Schobal, Tsibeon, Ana, Dischon, Etser et Dischan. -
وبنو سعير لوطان وشوبال وصبعون وعنى ودبشون وإيصر وديشان.
And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan.

Fils de Lothan: Hori et Homam. Soeur de Lothan: Thimna. -
وابنا لوطان حوري وهومام. واخت لوطان تمناع
And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.

Fils de Schobal: Aljan, Manahath, Ébal, Schephi et Onam. -Fils de Tsibeon: Ajja et Ana. -
بنو شوبال عليان ومناحة وعيبال وشفي واونام. وابنا صبعون أيّة وعنى.
The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.

Fils d'Ana: Dischon. Fils de Dischon: Hamran, Eschban, Jithran et Keran. -
ابن عنى ديشون وبنو ديشون حمران وأشبان ويثران وكران.
The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

Fils d'Etser: Bilhan, Zaavan et Jaakan. -Fils de Dischan: Uts et Aran. -
بنو إيصر بلهان وزعوان ويعقان. وابنا ديشان عوص واران
The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

Voici les rois qui ont régné dans le pays d'Édom, avant qu'un roi règne sur les enfants d'Israël. -Béla, fils de Beor; et le nom de sa ville était Dinhaba. -
هؤلاء هم الملوك الذين ملكوا في ارض ادوم قبلما ملك ملك لبني اسرائيل. بالع بن بعور. واسم مدينته دنهابة.
Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

Béla mourut; et Jobab, fils de Zérach, de Botsra, régnât à sa place. -
ومات بالع فملك مكانه يوباب بن زارح من بصرة.
And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

Jobab mourut; et Huscham, du pays des Thémanites, régna à sa place. -
ومات يوباب فملك مكانه حوشام من ارض التيماني.
And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

Huscham mourut; et Hadad, fils de Bedad, régna à sa place. C'est lui qui frappa Madian dans les champs de Moab. Le nom de sa ville était Avith. -
ومات حوشام فملك مكانه هدد بن بدد الذي كسّر مديان في بلاد موآب واسم مدينته عويت
And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

Hadad mourut; et Samla, de Masréka, régna à sa place. -
ومات هدد فملك مكانه سملة من مسريقة.
And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

Samla mourut; et Saül, de Rehoboth sur le fleuve, régna à sa place. -
ومات سملة فملك مكانه شاول من رحوبوت النهر.
And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

Saül mourut; et Baal Hanan, fils d'Acbor, régna à sa place. -
ومات شاول فملك مكانه بعل حانان بن عكبور.
And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

Baal Hanan mourut; et Hadad régna à sa place. Le nom de sa ville était Pahi; et le nom de sa femme Mehéthabeel, fille de Mathred, fille de Mézahab. -
ومات بعل حانان فملك مكانه هدد واسم مدينته فاعي واسم امرأته مهيطبئيل بنت مطرد بنت ماء الذهب.
And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

Hadad mourut. Les chefs d'Édom furent: le chef Thimna, le chef Alja, le chef Jetheth,
ومات هدد فكانت امراء ادوم امير تمناع امير علوة امير يتيت
Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

le chef Oholibama, le chef Éla, le chef Pinon,
امير اهوليبامة امير ايلة امير فينون
Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

le chef Kenaz, le chef Théman, le chef Mibtsar,
امير قناز امير تيمان امير مبصار
Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

le chef Magdiel, le chef Iram. Ce sont là des chefs d'Édom.
امير مجديئيل امير عيرام. هؤلاء امراء ادوم
Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
