Двадцати пяти лет воцарился Амасия и двадцать девять лет царствовал в Иерусалиме; имя матери его Иегоаддань из Иерусалима.
Amatsia devint roi à l'âge de vingt-cinq ans, et il régna vingt-neuf ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Joaddan, de Jérusalem.

Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

И делал он угодное в очах Господних, но не от полного сердца.
Il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel, mais avec un coeur qui n'était pas entièrement dévoué.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.

Когда утвердилось за ним царство, тогда он умертвил рабов своих, убивших царя, отца его.
Lorsque la royauté fut affermie entre ses mains, il fit périr ses serviteurs qui avaient tué le roi son père.

Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established to him, that he slew his servants that had killed the king his father.

Но детей их не умертвил, так как написано в законе, в книге Моисеевой, где заповедал Господь, говоря: не должны быть умерщвляемы отцы за детей, и дети не должны быть умерщвляемы за отцов, но каждый за свое преступление должен умереть.
Mais il ne fit pas mourir leurs fils, car il agit selon ce qui est écrit dans la loi, dans le livre de Moïse, où l'Éternel donne ce commandement: On ne fera point mourir les pères pour les enfants, et l'on ne fera point mourir les enfants pour les pères; mais on fera mourir chacun pour son péché.

But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.

И собрал Амасия Иудеев и поставил их по поколениям под властьтысяченачальников и стоначальников, всех Иудеев и Вениаминян, и пересчитал их от двадцати лет и выше, и нашел их триста тысяч человек отборных, ходящих на войну, держащих копье и щит.
Amatsia rassembla les hommes de Juda et les plaça d'après les maisons paternelles, les chefs de milliers et les chef de centaines, pour tout Juda et Benjamin; il en fit le dénombrement depuis l'âge de vingt ans et au-dessus, et il trouva trois cent mille hommes d'élite, en état de porter les armes, maniant la lance et le bouclier.

Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.

И еще нанял из Израильтян сто тысяч храбрых воинов за стоталантов серебра.
Il prit encore à sa solde dans Israël cent mille vaillants hommes pour cent talents d'argent.

He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.

Но человек Божий пришел к нему и сказал: царь! пусть не идет с тобою войско Израильское, потому что нет Господа с Израильтянами, со всеми сынами Ефрема.
Un homme de Dieu vint auprès de lui, et dit: O roi, qu'une armée d'Israël ne marche point avec toi, car l'Éternel n'est pas avec Israël, avec tous ces fils d'Éphraïm.

But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.

Но иди ты один, делай дело, мужественно подвизайся на войне. Иначе повергнет тебя Бог пред лицем врага, ибо есть сила у Бога поддержать и повергнуть.
Si tu vas avec eux, quand même tu ferais au combat des actes de vaillance, Dieu te fera tomber devant l'ennemi, car Dieu a le pouvoir d'aider et de faire tomber.

But if thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.

И сказал Амасия человеку Божию: что же делать со ста талантами, которые я отдал войску Израильскому? И сказал человек Божий: может Господь дать тебе более сего.
Amatsia dit à l'homme de Dieu: Et comment agir à l'égard des cents talents que j'ai donnés à la troupe d'Israël? L'homme de Dieu répondit: L'Éternel peut te donner bien plus que cela.

And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.

И отделил их Амасия, – войско, пришедшее к нему из земли Ефремовой, – чтоб онишли в свое место. И возгорелся сильно гнев их на Иудею, и они пошли назад в свое место, в пылу гнева.
Alors Amatsia sépara la troupe qui lui était venue d'Éphraïm, afin que ces gens retournassent chez eux. Mais ils furent très irrités contre Juda, et ils s'en allèrent chez eux avec une ardente colère.

Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger.

А Амасия отважился и повел народ свой, и пошел на долину Соляную и побил сынов Сеира десять тысяч;
Amatsia prit courage, et conduisit son peuple. Il alla dans la vallée du sel, et il battit dix mille hommes des fils de Séir.

And Amaziah strengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and smote of the children of Seir ten thousand.

и десять тысяч живых взяли сыны Иудины в плен, и привели их на вершину скалы, и низринули их с вершины скалы, и все они разбились совершенно.
Et les fils de Juda en saisirent dix mille vivants, qu'ils menèrent au sommet d'un rocher, d'où ils les précipitèrent; et tous furent écrasés.

And other ten thousand left alive did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces.

Войско же, которое Амасия отослал обратно, чтоб ононе ходило с ним на войну, рассыпалось по городам Иудеи от Самарии до Вефорона и перебило в них три тысячи, и награбило множество добычи.
Cependant, les gens de la troupe qu'Amatsia avait renvoyés pour qu'ils n'allassent pas à la guerre avec lui firent une invasion dans les villes de Juda depuis Samarie jusqu'à Beth Horon, y tuèrent trois mille personnes, et enlevèrent de nombreuses dépouilles.

But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Bethhoron, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil.

Амасия, придя после поражения Идумеян, принес богов сынов Сеира и поставил их у себя богами, и пред ними кланялся и им кадил.
Lorsqu'Amatsia fut de retour après la défaite des Édomites, il fit venir les dieux des fils de Séir, et se les établit pour dieux; il se prosterna devant eux, et leur offrit des parfums.

Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.

И воспылал гнев Господа на Амасию, и послал Он к нему пророка, итот сказал ему: зачем ты прибегаешь к богам народа сего, которые не избавили народа своего от руки твоей?
Alors la colère de l'Éternel s'enflamma contre Amatsia, et il envoya vers lui un prophète, qui lui dit: Pourquoi as-tu recherché les dieux de ce peuple, quand ils n'ont pu délivrer leur peuple de ta main?

Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

Когда он говорил ему, царь отвечал: разве советником царским поставили тебя? перестань, чтобы не убили тебя. И перестал пророк, сказав: знаю, что решил Бог погубить тебя, потому что ты сделал сие и не слушаешь совета моего.
Comme il parlait, Amatsia lui dit: Est-ce que nous t'avons fait conseiller du roi? Retire-toi! Pourquoi veux-tu qu'on te frappe? Le prophète se retira, en disant: Je sais que Dieu a résolu de te détruire, parce que tu as fait cela et que tu n'as pas écouté mon conseil.

And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

И посоветовался Амасия, царь Иудейский, и послал к Иоасу, сыну Иоахаза, сына Ииуева, царю Израильскому, сказать: выходи, повидаемся лично.
Après s'être consulté, Amatsia, roi de Juda, envoya dire à Joas, fils de Joachaz, fils de Jéhu, roi d'Israël: Viens, voyons-nous en face!

Then Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face.

И послал Иоас, царь Израильский, к Амасии, царю Иудейскому, сказать: терн, который на Ливане, послал к кедру, который на Ливане же, сказать: отдай дочь свою в жену сыну моему. Но прошли звери дикие, которые на Ливане, и истоптали этот терн.
Et Joas, roi d'Israël, fit dire à Amatsia, roi de Juda: L'épine du Liban envoya dire au cèdre du Liban: Donne ta fille pour femme à mon fils! Et les bêtes sauvages qui sont au Liban passèrent et foulèrent l'épine.

And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

Ты говоришь: вот я побил Идумеян, – и вознеслось сердце твое дотщеславия. Сиди лучше у себя дома. К чему тебе затевать опасное дело? Падешь ты и Иудея с тобою.
Tu as battu les Édomites, penses-tu, et ton coeur s'élève pour te glorifier. Reste maintenant chez toi. Pourquoi t'engager dans une malheureuse entreprise, qui amènerait ta ruine et celle de Juda?

Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

Но не послушался Амасия, так как от Бога было это, дабы предать их в руку Иоаса за то, что стали прибегать к богам Идумейским.
Mais Amatsia ne l'écouta pas, car Dieu avait résolu de les livrer entre les mains de l'ennemi, parce qu'ils avaient recherché les dieux d'Édom.

But Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom.

И выступил Иоас, царь Израильский, и увиделись лично, он и Амасия, царь Иудейский, в Вефсамисе Иудейском.
Et Joas, roi d'Israël, monta; et ils se virent en face, lui et Amatsia, roi de Juda, à Beth Schémesch, qui est à Juda.

So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

И были разбиты Иудеи Израильтянами, и разбежались каждый в шатер свой.
Juda fut battu par Israël, et chacun s'enfuit dans sa tente.

And Judah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent.

И Амасию, царя Иудейского, сына Иоаса, сына Иоахазова, захватил Иоас, царь Израильский, в Вефсамисе и привел его в Иерусалим, и разрушил стену Иерусалимскую от ворот Ефремовых до ворот угольных, на четыреста локтей;
Joas, roi d'Israël, prit à Beth Schémesch Amatsia, roi de Juda, fils de Joas, fils de Joachaz. Il l'emmena à Jérusalem, et il fit une brèche de quatre cents coudées dans la muraille de Jérusalem, depuis la porte d'Éphraïm jusqu'à la porte de l'angle.

And Joash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Bethshemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

и взял все золото и серебро, и все сосуды, находившиеся в доме Божием уОвед-Едома, и сокровища дома царского, и заложников, и возвратился в Самарию.
Il prit tout l'or et l'argent et tous les vases qui se trouvaient dans la maison de Dieu, chez Obed Édom, et les trésors de la maison du roi; il prit aussi des otages, et il retourna à Samarie.

And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obededom, and the treasures of the king's house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.

И жил Амасия, сын Иоасов, царь Иудейский, по смерти Иоаса, сына Иоахазова, царя Израильского, пятнадцать лет.
Amatsia, fils de Joas, roi de Juda, vécut quinze ans après la mort de Joas, fils de Joachaz, roi d'Israël.

And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.

И после того времени, как Амасия отступил от Господа, составилипротив него заговор в Иерусалиме, и он убежал в Лахис. И послали за ним в Лахис, и умертвили его там.
Depuis qu'Amatsia se fut détourné de l'Éternel, il se forma contre lui une conspiration à Jérusalem, et il s'enfuit à Lakis; mais on le poursuivit à Lakis, où on le fit mourir.

Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there.

И привезли его на конях, и похоронили его с отцами его в городе Иудином.
On le transporta sur des chevaux, et on l'enterra avec ses pères dans la ville de Juda.

And they brought him upon horses, and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.
