Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem one and thirty years.

Il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel, et il marcha dans les voies de David, son père; il ne s'en détourna ni à droite ni à gauche.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.
и делал он угодное в очах Господних, и ходил путями Давида, отца своего, и не уклонялся ни направо, ни налево.

La huitième année de son règne, comme il était encore jeune, il commença à rechercher le Dieu de David, son père; et la douzième année, il commença à purifier Juda et Jérusalem des hauts lieux, des idoles, des images taillées et des images en fonte.

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.
В восьмой год царствования своего, будучи еще отроком, он начал прибегать к Богу Давида, отца своего, а в двенадцатый год начал очищать Иудею и Иерусалим от высот и посвященных дерев и от резных и литых кумиров.

On renversa devant lui les autels des Baals, et il abattit les statues consacrées au soleil qui étaient dessus; il brisa les idoles, les images taillées et les images en fonte, et les réduisit en poussière, et il répandit la poussière sur les sépulcres de ceux qui leur avaient sacrifié;

And they brake down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images, that were on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust of them, and strowed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.
И разрушили пред лицем его жертвенники Ваалов и статуи, возвышавшиеся над ними; и посвященные дерева он срубил, и резные и литые кумиры изломал и разбил в прах, и рассыпал на гробах тех, которые приносили им жертвы,

et il brûla les ossements des prêtres sur leurs autels. C'est ainsi qu'il purifia Juda et Jérusalem.

And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.
и кости жрецов сжег на жертвенниках их, и очистил Иудею и Иерусалим,

Dans les villes de Manassé, d'Éphraïm, de Siméon, et même de Nephthali, partout au milieu de leurs ruines,

And so did he in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their mattocks round about.
и в городах Манассии, и Ефрема, и Симеона, даже до колена Неффалимова, и в опустошенных окрестностях их

il renversa les autels, il mit en pièces les idoles et les images taillées et les réduisit en poussière, et il abattit toutes les statues consacrées au soleil dans tout le pays d'Israël. Puis il retourna à Jérusalem.

And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.
он разрушил жертвенники и посвященные дерева, и кумиры разбил в прах, и все статуи сокрушил по всей земле Израильской, и возвратился в Иерусалим.

La dix-huitième année de son règne, après qu'il eut purifié le pays et la maison, il envoya Schaphan, fils d'Atsalia, Maaséja, chef de la ville, et Joach, fils de Joachaz, l'archiviste, pour réparer la maison de l'Éternel, son Dieu.

Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had purged the land, and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the governor of the city, and Joah the son of Joahaz the recorder, to repair the house of the LORD his God.
В восемнадцатый год царствования своего, по очищении земли и дома Божия, он послал Шафана, сына Ацалии, и Маасею градоначальника, и Иоаха, сына Иоахазова, дееписателя, возобновить дом Господа Бога своего.

Ils se rendirent auprès du souverain sacrificateur Hilkija, et on livra l'argent qui avait été apporté dans la maison de Dieu, et que les Lévites gardiens du seuil avaient recueilli de Manassé et d'Éphraïm et de tout le reste d'Israël, et de tout Juda et Benjamin et des habitants de Jérusalem.

And when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to Jerusalem.
И пришли они к Хелкии первосвященнику, и отдали серебро, принесенное в дом Божий, которое левиты, стоящие на страже у порога, собрали из рук Манассии и Ефрема и всех прочих Израильтян, и от всегоИуды и Вениамина, и от жителей Иерусалима,

On le remit entre les mains de ceux qui étaient chargés de faire exécuter l'ouvrage dans la maison de l'Éternel. Et ils l'employèrent pour ceux qui travaillaient aux réparations de la maison de l'Éternel,

And they put it in the hand of the workmen that had the oversight of the house of the LORD, and they gave it to the workmen that wrought in the house of the LORD, to repair and amend the house:
и отдали в руки производителям работ, приставленным к дому Господню, чтоб они раздавали его работникам, которые работали в доме Господнем, при исправлении и возобновлении дома.

pour les charpentiers et les maçons, pour les achats de pierres de taille et de bois destiné aux poutres et à la charpente des bâtiments qu'avaient détruits les rois de Juda.

Even to the artificers and builders gave they it, to buy hewn stone, and timber for couplings, and to floor the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed.
И они раздавали плотникам и строителям на покупку тесаных камней и дерев для связей и для покрытия зданий, которые разорили цари Иудейские.

Ces hommes agirent avec probité dans leur travail. Ils étaient placés sous l'inspection de Jachath et Abdias, Lévites d'entre les fils de Merari, et de Zacharie et Meschullam, d'entre les fils des Kehathites; tous ceux des Lévites qui étaient habiles musiciens surveillaient les manoeuvres

And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward; and other of the Levites, all that could skill of instruments of music.
Люди сии действовали честно при работе, и для надзора над ними поставлены были Иахаф и Овадия, левиты из сыновей Мерариных, иЗахария и Мешуллам из сыновей Каафовых, и все левиты, умеющие играть на музыкальных орудиях.

et dirigeaient tous les ouvriers occupés aux divers travaux; il y avait encore d'autres Lévites secrétaires, commissaires et portiers.

Also they were over the bearers of burdens, and were overseers of all that wrought the work in any manner of service: and of the Levites there were scribes, and officers, and porters.
Они же были приставниками над носильщиками и наблюдали над всеми работниками при каждой работе; из левитов же были и писцы, и надзиратели, и привратники.

Au moment où l'on sortit l'argent qui avait été apporté dans la maison de l'Éternel, le sacrificateur Hilkija trouva le livre de la loi de l'Éternel donnée par Moïse.

And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found a book of the law of the LORD given by Moses.
Когда вынимали они серебро, принесенное в дом Господень, тогда Хелкия священник нашел книгу закона Господня, данную рукою Моисея.

Alors Hilkija prit la parole et dit à Schaphan, le secrétaire: J'ai trouvé le livre de la loi dans la maison de l'Éternel. Et Hilkija donna le livre à Schaphan.

And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.
И начал Хелкия, и сказал Шафану писцу: книгузакона нашел я в доме Господнем. И подал Хелкия ту книгу Шафану.

Schaphan apporta le livre au roi, et lui rendit aussi compte, en disant: Tes serviteurs ont fait tout ce qui leur a été commandé;

And Shaphan carried the book to the king, and brought the king word back again, saying, All that was committed to thy servants, they do it.
И понес Шафан книгу к царю, и принес при этом царю известие: все, что поручено рабам твоим, они делают;

ils ont amassé l'argent qui se trouvait dans la maison de l'Éternel, et l'ont remis entre les mains des inspecteurs et des ouvriers.

And they have gathered together the money that was found in the house of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to the hand of the workmen.
и высыпали серебро, найденное в доме Господнем, и передали его в руки приставникам и в руки производителям работ.

Schaphan, le secrétaire, dit encore au roi: Le sacrificateur Hilkija m'a donné un livre. Et Schaphan le lut devant le roi.

Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
И также донес Шафан писец царю, говоря: книгу дал мне Хелкия священник. И читал ее Шафан перед царем.

And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that he rent his clothes.
Когда услышал царь слова закона, то разодрал одежды свои.

Et le roi donna cet ordre à Hilkija, à Achikam, fils de Schaphan, à Abdon, fils de Michée, à Schaphan, le secrétaire, et à Asaja, serviteur du roi:

And the king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Abdon the son of Micah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king's, saying,
И дал царь повеление Хелкии и Ахикаму, сыну Шафанову, и Авдону, сыну Михея, и Шафану писцу, и Асаии, слуге царскому, говоря:

Allez, consultez l'Éternel pour moi et pour ce qui reste en Israël et en Juda, au sujet des paroles de ce livre qu'on a trouvé; car grande est la colère de l'Éternel qui s'est répandue sur nous, parce que nos pères n'ont point observé la parole de l'Éternel et n'ont point mis en pratique tout ce qui est écrit dans ce livre.

Go, inquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.
пойдите, вопросите Господа за меня и за оставшихся у Израиля и заИуду о словах сей найденной книги, потому что велик гнев Господа, который воспылал на нас за то, что не соблюдали отцы наши слова Господня, чтобы поступать повсему написанному в книге сей.

Hilkija et ceux qu'avait désignés le roi allèrent auprès de la prophétesse Hulda, femme de Schallum, fils de Thokehath, fils de Hasra, gardien des vêtements. Elle habitait à Jérusalem, dans l'autre quartier de la ville. Après qu'ils eurent exprimé ce qu'ils avaient à lui dire,

And Hilkiah, and they that the king had appointed, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) and they spake to her to that effect.
И пошел Хелкия и те, которые от царя, к Олдане пророчице, жене Шаллума, сына Тавкегафа, сына Хасры, хранителя одежд, – а жила она во второй части Иерусалима, – и говорили с нею об этом.

И она сказала им: так говорит Господь Бог Израилев: скажите тому человеку, который послал вас ко мне:

Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, je vais faire venir des malheurs sur ce lieu et sur ses habitants, toutes les malédictions écrites dans le livre qu'on a lu devant le roi de Juda.

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah:
так говорит Господь: вот Я наведу бедствие на место сие и на жителей его все проклятия, написанные в книге, которую читали пред лицем царя Иудейского,

Parce qu'ils m'ont abandonné et qu'ils ont offert des parfums à d'autres dieux, afin de m'irriter par tous les ouvrages de leurs mains, ma colère s'est répandue sur ce lieu, et elle ne s'éteindra point.

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.
за то, что они оставили Меня и кадили богам другим, чтобы прогневлять Меня всеми делами рук своих. И гнев Мой возгорится над местом сим ине угаснет.

Mais vous direz au roi de Juda qui vous a envoyés pour consulter l'Éternel: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, au sujet des paroles que tu as entendues:

And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which thou hast heard;
А царю Иудейскому, пославшему вас вопросить Господа, так скажите: так говорит Господь Бог Израилев о словах, которые ты слышал:

Parce que ton coeur a été touché, parce que tu t'es humilié devant Dieu en entendant ses paroles contre ce lieu et contre ses habitants, parce que tu t'es humilié devant moi, parce que tu as déchiré tes vêtements et que tu as pleuré devant moi, moi aussi, j'ai entendu, dit l'Éternel.

Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.
так как смягчилось сердце твое, и ты смирился пред Богом, услышав слова Его о месте сем и о жителях его, – и ты смирился предо Мною, и разодрал одежды свои, и плакал предо Мною, то и Я услышал тебя, говорит Господь.

Voici, je te recueillerai auprès de tes pères, tu seras recueilli en paix dans ton sépulcre, et tes yeux ne verront pas tous les malheurs que je ferai venir sur ce lieu et sur ses habitants. Ils rapportèrent au roi cette réponse.

Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they brought the king word again.
Вот Я приложу тебя к отцам твоим, и положен будешь в гробницу твою в мире, и не увидят глаза твои всего того бедствия, которое Я наведу на место сие и на жителей его. И принесли царю ответ.

Le roi fit assembler tous les anciens de Juda et de Jérusalem.

Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.
И послал царь, и собрал всех старейшин Иудеи и Иерусалима,

Puis il monta à la maison de l'Éternel avec tous les hommes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem, les sacrificateurs et les Lévites, et tout le peuple, depuis le plus grand jusqu'au plus petit. Il lut devant eux toutes les paroles du livre de l'alliance, qu'on avait trouvé dans la maison de l'Éternel.

And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD.
и пошел царь в дом Господень, и с ним все Иудеи и жители Иерусалима, и священники и левиты, и весь народ, от большого до малого; и он прочитал вслух их все слова книги завета, найденной в доме Господнем.

Le roi se tenait sur son estrade, et il traita alliance devant l'Éternel, s'engageant à suivre l'Éternel, et à observer ses ordonnances, ses préceptes et ses lois, de tout son coeur et de toute son âme, afin de mettre en pratique les paroles de l'alliance écrites dans ce livre.

And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.
И стал царь на месте своем, и заключил завет пред лицем Господа последовать Господу и соблюдать заповеди Его и откровения Его, и уставы Его, от всего сердца своего и от всей души своей, чтобы выполнить слова завета, написанные в книге сей.

Et il fit entrer dans l'alliance tous ceux qui se trouvaient à Jérusalem et en Benjamin; et les habitants de Jérusalem agirent selon l'alliance de Dieu, du Dieu de leurs pères.

And he caused all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.
И велел царь подтвердить это всем находившимся в Иерусалиме и в земле Вениаминовой; и стали поступать жители Иерусалима по завету Бога, Бога отцов своих.

Josias fit disparaître toutes les abominations de tous les pays appartenant aux enfants d'Israël, et il obligea tous ceux qui se trouvaient en Israël à servir l'Éternel, leur Dieu. Pendant toute sa vie, ils ne se détournèrent point de l'Éternel, le Dieu de leurs pères.

And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. And all his days they departed not from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.
И изверг Иосия все мерзости из всех земель, которые у сынов Израилевых, и повелелвсем, находившимся в земле Израилевой служить Господу Богу своему. И во все дни жизни его они не отступали от Господа Бога отцов своих.
