Nehemiah 6
Nehemiah 6-
1
ولما سمع سنبلّط وطوبيا وجشم العربي وبقية اعدائنا اني قد بنيت السور ولم تبق فيه ثغرة. على اني لم اكن الى ذلك الوقت قد اقمت مصاريع للابواب.
Je n'avais pas encore posé les battants des portes, lorsque Sanballat, Tobija, Guéschem, l'Arabe, et nos autres ennemis apprirent que j'avais rebâti la muraille et qu'il n'y restait plus de brèche.
Now it came to pass, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had not set up the doors upon the gates;)

ارسل سنبلط وجشم اليّ قائلين هلم نجتمع معا في القرى في بقعة اونو. وكانا يفكران ان يعملا بي شرا.
Alors Sanballat et Guéschem m'envoyèrent dire: Viens, et ayons ensemble une entrevue dans les villages de la vallée d'Ono. Ils avaient médité de me faire du mal.
That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.

فارسلت اليهما رسلا قائلا اني انا عامل عملا عظيما فلا اقدر ان انزل. لماذا يبطل العمل بينما اتركه وانزل اليكما.
Je leur envoyai des messagers avec cette réponse: J'ai un grand ouvrage à exécuter, et je ne puis descendre; le travail serait interrompu pendant que je quitterais pour aller vers vous.
And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?

وارسلا اليّ بمثل هذا الكلام اربع مرات وجاوبتهما بمثل هذا الجواب.
Ils m'adressèrent quatre fois la même demande, et je leur fis la même réponse.
Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner.

فارسل اليّ سنبلط بمثل هذا الكلام مرة خامسة مع غلامه برسالة منشورة بيده مكتوب فيها
Sanballat m'envoya ce message une cinquième fois par son serviteur, qui tenait à la main une lettre ouverte.
Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time with an open letter in his hand;

قد سمع بين الامم وجشم يقول انك انت واليهود تفكرون ان تتمردوا لذلك انت تبني السور لتكون لهم ملكا حسب هذه الامور.
Il y était écrit: Le bruit se répand parmi les nations et Gaschmu affirme que toi et les Juifs vous pensez à vous révolter, et que c'est dans ce but que tu rebâtis la muraille. Tu vas, dit-on, devenir leur roi,
Wherein was written, It is reported among the heathen, and Gashmu saith it, that thou and the Jews think to rebel: for which cause thou buildest the wall, that thou mayest be their king, according to these words.

وقد اقمت ايضا انبياء لينادوا بك في اورشليم قائلين في يهوذا ملك. والآن يخبر الملك بهذا الكلام. فهلم الآن نتشاور معا.
tu as même établi des prophètes pour te proclamer à Jérusalem roi de Juda. Et maintenant ces choses arriveront à la connaissance du roi. Viens donc, et consultons-nous ensemble.
And thou hast also appointed prophets to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together.

فارسلت اليه قائلا لا يكون مثل هذا الكلام الذي تقوله بل انما انت مختلقه من قلبك.
Je fis répondre à Sanballat: Ce que tu dis là n'est pas; c'est toi qui l'inventes!
Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart.

لانهم كانوا جميعا يخيفوننا قائلين قد ارتخت ايديهم عن العمل فلا يعمل. فالآن يا الهي شدّد يديّ
Tous ces gens voulaient nous effrayer, et ils se disaient: Ils perdront courage, et l'oeuvre ne se fera pas. Maintenant, ô Dieu, fortifie-moi!
For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.

ودخلت بيت شمعيا بن دلايا بن مهيطبئيل وهو مغلق فقال لنجتمع الى بيت الله الى وسط الهيكل ونقفل ابواب الهيكل لانهم يأتون ليقتلوك. في الليل يأتون ليقتلوك.
Je me rendis chez Schemaeja, fils de Delaja, fils de Mehétabeel. Il s'était enfermé, et il dit: Allons ensemble dans la maison de Dieu, au milieu du temple, et fermons les portes du temple; car ils viennent pour te tuer, et c'est pendant la nuit qu'ils viendront pour te tuer.
Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.

فقلت أرجل مثلي يهرب ومن مثلي يدخل الهيكل فيحيا. لا ادخل.
Je répondis: Un homme comme moi prendre la fuite! Et quel homme tel que moi pourrait entrer dans le temple et vivre? Je n'entrerai point.
And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.

فتحققت وهوذا لم يرسله الله لانه تكلم بالنبوة عليّ وطوبيا وسنبلّط قد استأجراه.
Et je reconnus que ce n'était pas Dieu qui l'envoyait. Mais il prophétisa ainsi sur moi parce que Sanballat et Tobija lui avaient donné de l'argent.
And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

لاجل هذا قد استؤجر لكي اخاف وافعل هكذا واخطئ فيكون لهما خبر رديء لكي يعيراني.
En le gagnant ainsi, ils espéraient que j'aurais peur, et que je suivrais ses avis et commettrais un péché; et ils auraient profité de cette atteinte à ma réputation pour me couvrir d'opprobre.
Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me.

اذكر يا الهي طوبيا وسنبلّط حسب اعمالهما هذه ونوعدية النبية وباقي الانبياء الذين يخيفونني
Souviens-toi, ô mon Dieu, de Tobija et de Sanballat, et de leurs oeuvres! Souviens-toi aussi de Noadia, la prophétesse, et des autres prophètes qui cherchaient à m'effrayer!
My God, think thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.

وكمل السور في الخامس والعشرين من ايلول في اثنين وخمسين يوما.
La muraille fut achevée le vingt-cinquième jour du mois d'Élul, en cinquante-deux jours.
So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.

ولما سمع كل اعدائنا ورأى جميع الامم الذين حوالينا سقطوا كثيرا في اعين انفسهم وعلموا انه من قبل الهنا عمل هذا العمل.
Lorsque tous nos ennemis l'apprirent, toutes les nations qui étaient autour de nous furent dans la crainte; elles éprouvèrent une grande humiliation, et reconnurent que l'oeuvre s'était accomplie par la volonté de notre Dieu.
And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.

وايضا في تلك الايام اكثر عظماء يهوذا توارد رسائلهم على طوبيا ومن عند طوبيا اتت الرسائل اليهم.
Dans ce temps-là, il y avait aussi des grands de Juda qui adressaient fréquemment des lettres à Tobija et qui en recevaient de lui.
Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters unto Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came unto them.

لان كثيرين في يهوذا كانوا اصحاب حلف له لانه صهر شكنيا بن آرح ويهوحانان ابنه اخذ بنت مشلام بن برخيا.
Car plusieurs en Juda étaient liés à lui par serment, parce qu'il était gendre de Schecania, fils d'Arach, et que son fils Jochanan avait pris la fille de Meschullam, fils de Bérékia.
For there were many in Judah sworn unto him, because he was the son in law of Shechaniah the son of Arah; and his son Johanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah.

وكانوا ايضا يخبرون امامي بحسناته وكانوا يبلغون كلامي اليه. وارسل طوبيا رسائل ليخوّفني
Ils disaient même du bien de lui en ma présence, et ils lui rapportaient mes paroles. Tobija envoyait des lettres pour m'effrayer.
Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
