To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;
(140:1) Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David. (140:2) Éternel, délivre-moi des hommes méchants! Préserve-moi des hommes violents.
(다윗의 시. 영장으로 한 노래) 여호와여, 악인에게서 나를 건지시며 강포한 자에게서 나를 보전하소서
لامام المغنين. مزمور لداود. انقذني يا رب من اهل الشر. من رجل الظلم احفظني.

Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.
(140:3) Qui méditent de mauvais desseins dans leur coeur, Et sont toujours prêts à faire la guerre!
저희가 중심에 해하기를 꾀하고 싸우기 위하여 매일 모이오며
الذين يتفكرون بشرور في قلوبهم. اليوم كله يجتمعون للقتال.

They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
(140:4) Ils aiguisent leur langue comme un serpent, Ils ont sous leur lèvres un venin d'aspic. Pause.
뱀 같이 그 혀를 날카롭게 하니 그 입술 아래는 독사의 독이 있나이다 (셀라)
سنوا ألسنتهم كحية حمة الافعوان تحت شفاههم. سلاه.

Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
(140:5) Éternel, garantis-moi des mains du méchant! Préserve-moi des hommes violents, Qui méditent de me faire tomber!
여호와여, 나를 지키사 악인의 손에 빠지지 않게 하시며 나를 보전하사 강포한 자에게서 벗어나게 하소서 저희는 나의 걸음을 밀치려 하나이다
احفظني يا رب من يدي الشرير. من رجل الظلم انقذني. الذين تفكروا في تعثير خطواتي.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
(140:6) Des orgueilleux me tendent un piège et des filets, Ils placent des rets le long du chemin, Ils me dressent des embûches. Pause.
교만한 자가 나를 해하려고 올무와 줄을 놓으며 길 곁에 그물을 치며 함정을 두었나이다 (셀라)
اخفى لي المستكبرون فخا وحبالا. مدوا شبكة بجانب الطريق. وضعوا لي اشراكا. سلاه

I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
(140:7) Je dis à l'Éternel: Tu es mon Dieu! Éternel, prête l'oreille à la voix de mes supplications!
내가 여호와께 말하기를 주는 나의 하나님이시니 여호와여, 나의 간구하는 소리에 귀를 기울이소서 하였나이다
قلت للرب انت الهي. اصغ يا رب الى صوت تضرعاتي.

O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
(140:8) Éternel, Seigneur, force de mon salut! Tu couvres ma tête au jour du combat.
내 구원의 능력이신 주 여호와여, 전쟁의 날에 주께서 내 머리를 가리우셨나이다
يا رب السيد قوة خلاصي ظللت راسي في يوم القتال.

Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.
(140:9) Éternel, n'accomplis pas les désirs du méchant, Ne laisse pas réussir ses projets, de peur qu'il ne s'en glorifie! Pause.
여호와여, 악인의 소원을 허락지 마시며 그 악한 꾀를 이루지 못하소서 저희가 자고할까 하나이다 (셀라)
لا تعط يا رب شهوات الشرير. لا تنجح مقاصده. يترفعون. سلاه.

As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
(140:10) Que sur la tête de ceux qui m'environnent Retombe l'iniquité de leurs lèvres!
나를 에우는 자가 그 머리를 들 때에 저희 입술의 해가 저희를 덮게 하소서
اما رؤوس المحيطين بي فشقاء شفاههم يغطيهم.

Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
(140:11) Que des charbons ardents soient jetés sur eux! Qu'il les précipite dans le feu, Dans des abîmes, d'où ils ne se relèvent plus!
뜨거운 숯불이 저희에게 떨어지게 하시며 불 가운데와 깊은 웅덩이에 저희로 빠져 다시 일어나지 못하게 하소서
ليسقط عليهم جمر. ليسقطوا في النار وفي غمرات فلا يقوموا.

Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
(140:12) L'homme dont la langue est fausse ne s'affermit pas sur la terre; Et l'homme violent, le malheur l'entraîne à sa perte.
악담하는 자는 세상에서 굳게 서지 못하며 강포한 자에게는 재앙이 따라서 패망케 하리이다
رجل لسان لا يثبت في الارض. رجل الظلم يصيده الشر الى هلاكه.

I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.
(140:13) Je sais que l'Éternel fait droit au misérable, Justice aux indigents.
내가 알거니와 여호와는 고난 당하는 자를 신원하시며 궁핍한 자에게 공의를 베푸시리이다
قد علمت ان الرب يجري حكما للمساكين وحقا للبائسين.

Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
(140:14) Oui, les justes célébreront ton nom, Les hommes droits habiteront devant ta face.
진실로 의인이 주의 이름에 감사하며 정직한 자가 주의 앞에 거하리이다
انما الصديقون يحمدون اسمك. المستقيمون يجلسون في حضرتك
