The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
كلام اجور ابن متقية مسّا. وحي هذا الرجل الى ايثيئيل. الى ايثيئيل وأكّال
Paroles d'Agur, fils de Jaké. Sentences prononcées par cet homme pour Ithiel, pour Ithiel et pour Ucal.
Слова Агура, сына Иакеева. Вдохновенные изречения, которые сказал этот человек Ифиилу, Ифиилу и Укалу:

Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
اني ابلد من كل انسان وليس لي فهم انسان.
Certes, je suis plus stupide que personne, Et je n'ai pas l'intelligence d'un homme;
подлинно, я более невежда, нежели кто-либо из людей, и разума человеческого нет у меня,

I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
ولم اتعلّم الحكمة ولم اعرف معرفة القدوس.
Je n'ai pas appris la sagesse, Et je ne connais pas la science des saints.
и не научился я мудрости, и познания святых не имею.

Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
من صعد الى السموات ونزل. من جمع الريح في حفنتيه. من صرّ المياه في ثوب. من ثبت جميع اطراف الارض. ما اسمه وما اسم ابنه ان عرفت.
Qui est monté aux cieux, et qui en est descendu? Qui a recueilli le vent dans ses mains? Qui a serré les eaux dans son vêtement? Qui a fait paraître les extrémités de la terre? Quel est son nom, et quel est le nom de son fils? Le sais-tu?
Кто восходил на небо и нисходил? кто собрал ветер в пригоршни свои? кто завязал воду в одежду? кто поставил все пределы земли? какое имя ему? и какое имя сыну его? знаешь ли?

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
كل كلمة من الله نقية. ترس هو للمحتمين به.
Toute parole de Dieu est éprouvée. Il est un bouclier pour ceux qui cherchent en lui un refuge.
Всякое слово Бога чисто; Он – щит уповающим на Него.

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
لا تزد على كلماته لئلا يوبخك فتكذّب
N'ajoute rien à ses paroles, De peur qu'il ne te reprenne et que tu ne sois trouvé menteur.
Не прибавляй к словам Его, чтобы Он не обличил тебя, и ты не оказалсялжецом.

Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
اثنتين سألت منك فلا تمنعهما عني قبل ان اموت.
Je te demande deux choses: Ne me les refuse pas, avant que je meure!
Двух вещей я прошу у Тебя, не откажи мне, прежде нежели я умру:

Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
ابعد عني الباطل والكذب. لا تعطني فقرا ولا غنى. اطعمني خبز فريضتي.
Éloigne de moi la fausseté et la parole mensongère; Ne me donne ni pauvreté, ni richesse, Accorde-moi le pain qui m'est nécessaire.
суету и ложь удали от меня, нищеты и богатства не давай мне, питай меня насущным хлебом,

Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
لئلا اشبع واكفر واقول من هو الرب. او لئلا افتقر واسرق واتخذ اسم الهي باطلا
De peur que, dans l'abondance, je ne te renie Et ne dise: Qui est l'Éternel? Ou que, dans la pauvreté, je ne dérobe, Et ne m'attaque au nom de mon Dieu.
дабы, пресытившись, я не отрекся Тебя и не сказал: „кто Господь?" и чтобы, обеднев, не стал красть и употреблять имя Бога моего всуе.

Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.
لا تشك عبدا الى سيده لئلا يلعنك فتأثم.
Ne calomnie pas un serviteur auprès de son maître, De peur qu'il ne te maudisse et que tu ne te rendes coupable.
Не злословь раба пред господином его, чтобы он не проклял тебя, и ты не остался виноватым.

There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
جيل يلعن اباه ولا يبارك امه.
Il est une race qui maudit son père, Et qui ne bénit point sa mère.
Есть род, который проклинает отца своего и не благословляет матери своей.

There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
جيل طاهر في عيني نفسه وهو لم يغتسل من قذره.
Il est une race qui se croit pure, Et qui n'est pas lavée de sa souillure.
Есть род, который чист в глазах своих, тогда как не омыт от нечистот своих.

There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
جيل ما ارفع عينيه وحواجبه مرتفعة.
Il est une race dont les yeux sont hautains, Et les paupières élevées.
Есть род – о, как высокомерны глаза его, и как подняты ресницы его!

There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
جيل اسنانه سيوف واضراسه سكاكين لأكل المساكين عن الارض والفقراء من بين الناس
Il est une race dont les dents sont des glaives Et les mâchoires des couteaux, Pour dévorer le malheureux sur la terre Et les indigents parmi les hommes.
Есть род, у которого зубы – мечи, и челюсти – ножи, чтобы пожирать бедных на земле и нищих между людьми.

The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
للعلوقة بنتان هات هات. ثلاثة لا تشبع. اربعة لا تقول كفا
La sangsue a deux filles: Donne! donne! Trois choses sont insatiables, Quatre ne disent jamais: Assez!
У ненасытимости две дочери: „давай, давай!" Вот три ненасытимых, и четыре, которые не скажут: „довольно!"

The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
الهاوية والرحم العقيم وارض لا تشبع ماء والنار لا تقول كفا
Le séjour des morts, la femme stérile, La terre, qui n'est pas rassasiée d'eau, Et le feu, qui ne dit jamais: Assez!
Преисподняя и утроба бесплодная, земля, которая не насыщается водою, и огонь, который не говорит: „довольно!"

The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
العين المستهزئة بابيها والمحتقرة اطاعة امها تقوّرها غربان الوادي وتأكلها فراخ النسر
L'oeil qui se moque d'un père Et qui dédaigne l'obéissance envers une mère, Les corbeaux du torrent le perceront, Et les petits de l'aigle le mangeront.
Глаз, насмехающийся над отцом и пренебрегающий покорностью к матери,выклюют вороны дольные, и сожрут птенцы орлиные!

There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
ثلاثة عجيبة فوقي واربعة لا اعرفها.
Il y a trois choses qui sont au-dessus de ma portée, Même quatre que je ne puis comprendre:
Три вещи непостижимы для меня, и четырех я не понимаю:

The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
طريق نسر في السموات وطريق حيّة على صخر وطريق سفينة في قلب البحر وطريق رجل بفتاة.
La trace de l'aigle dans les cieux, La trace du serpent sur le rocher, La trace du navire au milieu de la mer, Et la trace de l'homme chez la jeune femme.
пути орла на небе, пути змея на скале, пути корабля среди моря и пути мужчины к девице.

Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
كذلك طريق المرأة الزانية. اكلت ومسحت فمها وقالت ما عملت اثما
Telle est la voie de la femme adultère: Elle mange, et s'essuie la bouche, Puis elle dit: Je n'ai point fait de mal.
Таков путь и жены прелюбодейной; поела и обтерла рот свой, и говорит: „я ничего худого не сделала".

For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear:
تحت ثلاثة تضطرب الارض واربعة لا تستطيع احتمالها.
Trois choses font trembler la terre, Et il en est quatre qu'elle ne peut supporter:
От трех трясется земля, четырех она не может носить:

For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat;
تحت عبد اذا ملك واحمق اذا شبع خبزا
Un esclave qui vient à régner, Un insensé qui est rassasié de pain,
раба, когда он делается царем; глупого, когда он досыта ест хлеб;

For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.
تحت شنيعة اذا تزوجت وأمة اذا ورثت سيدتها
Une femme dédaignée qui se marie, Et une servante qui hérite de sa maîtresse.
позорную женщину, когда она выходит замуж, и служанку, когда она занимает место госпожи своей.

There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
اربعة هي الاصغر في الارض ولكنها حكيمة جدا.
Il y a sur la terre quatre animaux petits, Et cependant des plus sages;
Вот четыре малых на земле, но они мудрее мудрых:

The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
النمل طائفة غير قوية ولكنه يعدّ طعامه في الصيف.
Les fourmis, peuple sans force, Préparent en été leur nourriture;
муравьи – народ не сильный, но летом заготовляют пищу свою;

The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
الوبار طائفة ضعيفة ولكنها تضع بيوتها في الصخر.
Les damans, peuple sans puissance, Placent leur demeure dans les rochers;
горные мыши – народ слабый, но ставят домы свои наскале;

27
The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
الجراد ليس له ملك ولكنه يخرج كله فرقا فرقا.
Les sauterelles n'ont point de roi, Et elles sortent toutes par divisions;
у саранчи нет царя, но выступает вся она стройно;

The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.
العنكبوت تمسك بيديها وهي في قصور الملوك
Le lézard saisit avec les mains, Et se trouve dans les palais des rois.
паук лапками цепляется, но бывает в царских чертогах.

There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:
ثلاثة هي حسنة التخطي واربعة مشيها مستحسن
Il y en a trois qui ont une belle allure, Et quatre qui ont une belle démarche:
Вот трое имеют стройную походку, и четверо стройно выступают:

A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;
الاسد جبار الوحوش ولا يرجع من قدام احد
Le lion, le héros des animaux, Ne reculant devant qui que ce soit;
лев, силач между зверями, не посторонится ни перед кем;

31
A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.
ضامر الشاكلة والتيس والملك الذي لا يقاوم
Le cheval tout équipé; ou le bouc; Et le roi à qui personne ne résiste.
конь и козел, и царь среди народа своего.

32
If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
ان حمقت بالترفع وان تآمرت فضع يدك على فمك.
Si l'orgueil te pousse à des actes de folie, Et si tu as de mauvaises pensées, mets la main sur la bouche:
Если ты в заносчивости своей сделал глупость и помыслил злое, то положи руку на уста;

Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
لان عصر اللبن يخرج جبنا وعصر الانف يخرج دما وعصر الغضب يخرج خصاما
Car la pression du lait produit de la crème, La pression du nez produit du sang, Et la pression de la colère produit des querelles.
потому что, как сбивание молока производит масло, толчок в нос производит кровь, так и возбуждение гнева производит ссору.
