Samuel dit à Saül: C'est moi que l'Éternel a envoyé pour t'oindre roi sur son peuple, sur Israël: écoute donc ce que dit l'Éternel.
И сказал Самуил Саулу: Господь послал меня помазать тебя царем над народом Его, над Израилем; теперь послушай гласа Господа.
Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.

Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Je me souviens de ce qu'Amalek fit à Israël, lorsqu'il lui ferma le chemin à sa sortie d'Égypte.
Так говорит Господь Саваоф: вспомнил Я о том, что сделал Амалик Израилю, как он противостал ему на пути, когда он шел из Египта;
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.

Va maintenant, frappe Amalek, et dévouez par interdit tout ce qui lui appartient; tu ne l'épargneras point, et tu feras mourir hommes et femmes, enfants et nourrissons, boeufs et brebis, chameaux et ânes.
теперь иди и порази Амалика, и истреби все, что у него; и не давай пощады ему, но предай смерти от мужа до жены, от отрока до грудного младенца, от вола до овцы, от верблюда до осла.
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

Saül convoqua le peuple, et en fit la revue à Thelaïm: il y avait deux cent mille hommes de pied, et dix mille hommes de Juda.
И собрал Саул народ и насчитал их в Телаиме двести тысяч Израильтян пеших и десять тысяч из колена Иудина.
And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.

Saül marcha jusqu'à la ville d'Amalek, et mit une embuscade dans la vallée.
И дошел Саул до города Амаликова, и сделал засаду в долине.
And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley.

Il dit aux Kéniens: Allez, retirez-vous, sortez du milieu d'Amalek, afin que je ne vous fasse pas périr avec lui; car vous avez eu de la bonté pour tous les enfants d'Israël, lorsqu'ils montèrent d'Égypte. Et les Kéniens se retirèrent du milieu d'Amalek.
И сказал Саул Кинеянам: пойдите, отделитесь, выйдите из среды Амалика, чтобы мне не погубить вас с ним, ибо вы оказали благосклонность всемИзраильтянам, когда они шли из Египта. И отделились Кинеяне из средыАмалика.
And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

Saül battit Amalek depuis Havila jusqu'à Schur, qui est en face de l'Égypte.
И поразил Саул Амалика от Хавилы до окрестностей Сура, что пред Египтом;
And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt.

Il prit vivant Agag, roi d'Amalek, et il dévoua par interdit tout le peuple en le passant au fil de l'épée.
и Агага, царя Амаликова, захватил живого, а народ весь истребил мечом.
And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

Mais Saül et le peuple épargnèrent Agag, et les meilleures brebis, les meilleurs boeufs, les meilleures bêtes de la seconde portée, les agneaux gras, et tout ce qu'il y avait de bon; ils ne voulurent pas le dévouer par interdit, et ils dévouèrent seulement tout ce qui était méprisable et chétif.
Но Саул и народ пощадили Агага и лучших из овец и волов и откормленных ягнят, и все хорошее, и не хотели истребить, а все вещи маловажные ихудые истребили.
But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

L'Éternel adressa la parole à Samuel, et lui dit:
И было слово Господа к Самуилу такое:
Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,
-

Je me repens d'avoir établi Saül pour roi, car il se détourne de moi et il n'observe point mes paroles. Samuel fut irrité, et il cria à l'Éternel toute la nuit.
жалею, что поставил Я Саула царем, ибо он отвратился от Меня ислова Моего не исполнил. И опечалился Самуил и взывал к Господу целуюночь.
It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

Il se leva de bon matin, pour aller au-devant de Saül. Et on vint lui dire: Saül est allé à Carmel, et voici, il s'est érigé un monument; puis il s'en est retourné, et, passant plus loin, il est descendu à Guilgal.
И встал Самуил рано утром и пошел навстречу Саулу. И известили Самуила, что Саул ходил на Кармил и там поставил себе памятник, и сошел в Галгал.
And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.

Samuel se rendit auprès de Saül, et Saül lui dit: Sois béni de l'Éternel! J'ai observé la parole de l'Éternel.
Когда пришел Самуил к Саулу, то Саул сказал ему: благословен ты у Господа; я исполнил слово Господа.
And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.

Samuel dit: Qu'est-ce donc que ce bêlement de brebis qui parvient à mes oreilles, et ce mugissement de boeufs que j'entends?
И сказал Самуил: а что это за блеяние овец в ушах моих и мычание волов, которое я слышу?
And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?

Saül répondit: Ils les ont amenés de chez les Amalécites, parce que le peuple a épargné les meilleures brebis et les meilleurs boeufs, afin de les sacrifier à l'Éternel, ton Dieu; et le reste, nous l'avons dévoué par interdit.
И сказал Саул: привели их от Амалика, так как народ пощадил лучших из овец и волов для жертвоприношения Господу Богу твоему; прочее же мы истребили.
And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.

Samuel dit à Saül: Arrête, et je te déclarerai ce que l'Éternel m'a dit cette nuit. Et Saül lui dit: Parle!
И сказал Самуил Саулу: подожди, я скажу тебе, что сказал мне Господь ночью. И сказал ему Саул: говори.
Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.

Samuel dit: Lorsque tu étais petit à tes yeux, n'es-tu pas devenu le chef des tribus d'Israël, et l'Éternel ne t'a-t-il pas oint pour que tu sois roi sur Israël?
И сказал Самуил: не малым ли ты был в глазах твоих, когда сделался главою коленИзраилевых, и Господь помазал тебя царем над Израилем?
And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

L'Éternel t'avait fait partir, en disant: Va, et dévoue par interdit ces pécheurs, les Amalécites; tu leur feras la guerre jusqu'à ce que tu les aies exterminés.
И послал тебя Господь в путь, сказав: „иди и предай заклятию нечестивых Амаликитян и воюй против них, доколе не уничтожишь их".
And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

Pourquoi n'as-tu pas écouté la voix de l'Éternel? pourquoi t'es-tu jeté sur le butin, et as-tu fait ce qui est mal aux yeux de l'Éternel?
Зачем же ты не послушал гласа Господа и бросился на добычу, и сделал зло пред очами Господа?
Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?

Saül répondit à Samuel: J'ai bien écouté la voix de l'Éternel, et j'ai suivi le chemin par lequel m'envoyait l'Éternel. J'ai amené Agag, roi d'Amalek, et j'ai dévoué par interdit les Amalécites;
И сказал Саул Самуилу: я послушал гласа Господа и пошел в путь, куда послал меня Господь, и привел Агага, царяАмаликитского, а Амалика истребил;
And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

mais le peuple a pris sur le butin des brebis et des boeufs, comme prémices de ce qui devait être dévoué, afin de les sacrifier à l'Éternel, ton Dieu, à Guilgal.
народ же из добычи, из овец и волов, взял лучшее из заклятого,для жертвоприношения Господу Богу твоему, в Галгале.
But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.

Samuel dit: L'Éternel trouve-t-il du plaisir dans les holocaustes et les sacrifices, comme dans l'obéissance à la voix de l'Éternel? Voici, l'obéissance vaut mieux que les sacrifices, et l'observation de sa parole vaut mieux que la graisse des béliers.
И отвечал Самуил: неужели всесожжения и жертвы столько же приятны Господу, как послушание гласу Господа? Послушание лучше жертвы и повиновение лучше тука овнов;
And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Car la désobéissance est aussi coupable que la divination, et la résistance ne l'est pas moins que l'idolâtrie et les théraphim. Puisque tu as rejeté la parole de l'Éternel, il te rejette aussi comme roi.
ибо непокорность есть такой же грех, что волшебство, и противление то же, что идолопоклонство; за то, что ты отверг слово Господа, и Он отверг тебя, чтобы ты не был царем.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Alors Saül dit à Samuel: J'ai péché, car j'ai transgressé l'ordre de l'Éternel, et je n'ai pas obéi à tes paroles; je craignais le peuple, et j'ai écouté sa voix.
И сказал Саул Самуилу: согрешил я, ибо преступил повеление Господа и слово твое; но я боялся народа и послушал голоса их;
And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

Maintenant, je te prie, pardonne mon péché, reviens avec moi, et je me prosternerai devant l'Éternel.
теперь же сними с меня грех мой и воротись со мною, чтобы я поклонился Господу.
Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD.

Samuel dit à Saül: Je ne retournerai point avec toi; car tu as rejeté la parole de l'Éternel, et l'Éternel te rejette, afin que tu ne sois plus roi sur Israël.
И отвечал Самуил Саулу: не ворочусь я с тобою, ибо ты отверг слово Господа, и Господь отверг тебя, чтобы ты не был царем над Израилем.
And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.

Et comme Samuel se tournait pour s'en aller, Saül le saisit par le pan de son manteau, qui se déchira.
И обратился Самуил, чтобы уйти. Но Саул ухватился за крайодежды его и разодрал ее.
And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.

Samuel lui dit: L'Éternel déchire aujourd'hui de dessus toi la royauté d'Israël, et il la donne à un autre, qui est meilleur que toi.
Тогда сказал Самуил: ныне отторг Господь царство Израильское оттебя и отдал его ближнему твоему, лучшему тебя;
And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.

Celui qui est la force d'Israël ne ment point et ne se repent point, car il n'est pas un homme pour se repentir.
и не скажет неправды и не раскается Верный Израилев; ибо не человек Он, чтобы раскаяться Ему.
And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.

Saül dit encore: J'ai péché! Maintenant, je te prie, honore-moi en présence des anciens de mon peuple et en présence d'Israël; reviens avec moi, et je me prosternerai devant l'Éternel, ton Dieu.
И сказал Саул: я согрешил, но почти меня ныне пред старейшинами народа моего и пред Израилем и воротись со мною, и я поклонюсь Господу Богу твоему.
Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.

Samuel retourna et suivit Saül, et Saül se prosterna devant l'Éternel.
И возвратился Самуил за Саулом, и поклонился Саул Господу.
So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.

Puis Samuel dit: Amenez-moi Agag, roi d'Amalek. Et Agag s'avança vers lui d'un air joyeux; il disait: Certainement, l'amertume de la mort est passée.
Потом сказал Самуил: приведите ко мне Агага, царя Амаликитского. Иподошел к нему Агаг дрожащий, и сказал Агаг: конечно горечь смерти миновалась?
Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.

Samuel dit: De même que ton épée a privé des femmes de leurs enfants, ainsi ta mère entre les femmes sera privée d'un fils. Et Samuel mit Agag en pièces devant l'Éternel, à Guilgal.
Но Самуил сказал: как меч твой жен лишал детей, так мать твоя между женами пусть лишена будет сына.И разрубил Самуил Агага пред Господом в Галгале.
And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.

Samuel partit pour Rama, et Saül monta dans sa maison à Guibea de Saül.
И отошел Самуил в Раму, а Саул пошел в дом свой, в Гиву Саулову.
Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul.

Samuel n'alla plus voir Saül jusqu'au jour de sa mort; car Samuel pleurait sur Saül, parce que l'Éternel se repentait d'avoir établi Saül roi d'Israël.
И более не видался Самуил с Саулом до дня смерти своей; но печалился Самуил о Сауле, потому что Господь раскаялся, что воцарил Саула над Израилем.
And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
